There’s a word that gets used a lot in this space — sovereign. It sounds powerful. Self-led. Free.
But most people are still relating to it as an idea… not a lived experience.
Because sovereignty isn’t something you adopt. It’s something you stop abandoning.
It’s not about independence in the way we’ve been taught — pushing through, doing it all alone, proving you don’t need anyone. That’s just another form of control. Another layer of armour.
True sovereignty is quieter than that.
It’s the moment you realise you’re no longer outsourcing your decisions — not to people, not to circumstances, not to old identities that no longer fit. It’s when you stop waiting for clarity to arrive from somewhere outside of you… and begin trusting what’s already there.
Not perfectly. Not all at once.
But consistently enough that your life starts to reflect it.
And that’s where it becomes uncomfortable.
Because sovereignty doesn’t just feel expansive — it’s also confronting.
It asks you to notice where you’re still:
- seeking permission
- delaying what you already know
- choosing safety over truth
Not in a dramatic way. In the small, everyday moments where you override yourself just enough to stay where you are.

That’s the part people don’t talk about.
We love the idea of freedom…but not always the responsibility that comes with it.
Because once you see clearly, you can’t unsee it.
And once you trust yourself, even a little, it becomes harder to follow paths that don’t align — even if they’re familiar, even if they’re comfortable, even if they “make sense.”
Sovereignty isn’t loud.
It doesn’t need to declare itself.
It shows up in the way you move.
The way you decide.
The way you hold yourself when things are uncertain.
It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about no longer needing them from somewhere else.
And for many women, there comes a point where this isn’t something they’re learning anymore… it’s something they’re remembering.
Not because someone taught them. But because something in them refuses to keep living any other way.
So the question isn’t: – “What does sovereignty mean to you?”
It’s – Where in your life are you already feeling it… and where are you still holding back from it?
And sometimes, creating space to step away from the familiar is what allows that knowing to become clear. Not to find something new… but to finally remember what’s already there.
We hold Retreats, Workshops and Online communities for Sovereign Soul Sistes to find what they have forgotten.
